Search and the map run in your browser and load pieces of the public list and the map from this site, as you use them. If you tap Near me, your location is used on your phone to find the closest buildings; the map and those buildings' details then load from this site like anything else. We don't log these requests or keep anything.

What the dates mean
Every elevator, escalator and lift on the state's list has a certificate with an expiration date, renewed after an inspection by a licensed inspector. Expired means the date on the state's list has passed; due soon means it passes within 90 days.
The state's list shows a new certificate only after the state issues it, so a building inspected recently can still read expired here. Units expired for two years or more are often removed or out of service while the state keeps the record.
Some elevators also have a 5-year test due date, for a test done every five years on top of the yearly inspection. The state's own search has the official record.
